Watership Down, from White Hill
Countryside walk
The down from Richard Adams's novel, a walk west along the Wayfarer's Walk from the White Hill car park.
About
Watership Down is the long chalk ridge south of the village where Richard Adams set his 1972 novel, and you can walk it. Park at the White Hill car park and picnic area off the B3051, just south of Kingsclere, and follow the Wayfarer's Walk west along the top, a public right of way, to the high point at about 237 metres. Hampshire County Council publishes a circular Kingsclere walk that takes it in.
