Heath End Village Hall

Hall for hire

EveryVillage Partner

Baughurst's village hall on Heath End Road, with a hall for 150, a smaller room and the Green beside it.

About

Heath End Village Hall is on Heath End Road, and it is Baughurst's own hall. In 1920 William McConnel of Heath End House bought the land in memory of his son, killed in the First World War, local people bought shares at half a crown each, and an elm clad hall was finished in 1922 and enlarged ten years later. It is a charity, with the Green beside it for fetes and games. The Main Hall seats 150 and the Jeffery Room 50. Baughurst Repair Cafe and the Baughurst and Heath End WI both meet here, and so does the parish council for most of the year.
