Silchester Methodist Church sits on the edge of the common, where Pamber Road, Kings Road, Silchester Road and Soke Road meet. It is one of twenty-six churches in the Basingstoke and Reading Methodist Circuit. Sunday worship is at half past ten and refreshments follow in the hall. That hall is let to the village for the rest of the week, a good sized room with a well stocked kitchen and a small lounge, used for meetings, classes and children's parties.
