About
St Stephen's is Baughurst's parish church, on Church Lane in the old part of the parish away from Heath End Road. It was built in 1845 in flint and stone in an Early English style, with a south west tower that doubles as the porch and ends in an octagonal top stage and a spire, and a blocked doorway of the late twelfth century from an older church is set into the west wall. It is listed Grade II*. It is one of the North Wessex Churches, a benefice that also takes in Ramsdell, Wolverton, Ewhurst and Hannington.
