The Four Horseshoes, Sherfield on Loddon
Village pub with a skittle alley
The family-run sixteenth century pub on the Reading Road, with a skittle alley, Thai food and jazz nights.
About
The Four Horseshoes is the village's other pub, a little along the Reading Road from the green, sixteenth century with low beams, bench seats and wood burners, Grade II listed and family run. The kitchen does Thai dishes alongside the pub favourites, Tuesday to Sunday, with roasts on a Sunday, and there's a skittle alley that doubles as the function room. CAMRA notes regular jazz, quiz and themed food evenings. Closed on Mondays.

We wrote this page ourselves, from information The Four Horseshoes, Sherfield on Loddon and others have published. Compiled 17 October 2026 from the North Hampshire CAMRA branch's page for the pub (hours, the skittle alley and the regular evenings; CAMRA's national listing shows different hours, and the branch's are used), Historic England's listing of the building (sixteenth and nineteenth century, listed 1984) and a restaurant directory for the Thai menu and the Sunday roasts, read through search results. Pinned at the RG27 0EX postcode position rather than the building's own door. If you help run it, send us a correction or ask us to take the page down.
