The Plough Inn
Village pub
A proper cask ale local on Silchester Road, with a log fire, a big garden and a till that takes cash only.
About
The Plough is Little London's pub, on Silchester Road with Pamber Forest at its back, and the beer is the point. Cask ales from smaller brewers, with Otter Bitter the regular and the rest changing, drunk by the log fire in winter and out in the large garden in summer. Food is baguettes at lunchtime rather than a menu. It's cash only, and dogs and children are welcome. North Hampshire CAMRA made it joint Pub of the Year in 2018. It was the forest workers' pub, and in 1926 the remains of a brick kiln and brickfield were found to the north east of it, from the days when the village made bricks.

We wrote this page ourselves, from information The Plough Inn and others have published. Compiled 16 October 2026 from CAMRA's WhatPub entry and the North Hampshire branch's page for the pub (hours, beers, features and the 2018 award) and Pamber Parish Council's account of the parish (the forest workers, the brickyards and the 1926 kiln), read through search results. The pub has no website. Pinned at WhatPub's sat nav reference for the pub, SU621596, which is the building. If you help run it, send us a correction or ask us to take the page down.
